Ray served 17 years as Vice President – Supply Chain Management at Code 3, Inc., a manufacturer of emergency vehicle lighting and warning systems. He also held positions in Purchasing, Operations, and Marketing at automated microbiology leader bioMerieux Vitek, with additional financial experience in the mining and brewing industries. Ray began his career with the public accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). He has been responsible for creating and implementing procurement and inventory control strategies, including successful cost improvement programs.
In addition, Ray has served as an instructor for the St. Louis Chapter of APICS for over ten years. He has held several board positions, including President for the St. Louis Chapter, and also served on Regional Staff for APICS. Ray developed and has taught the Inventory Management module in the Integrated Supply Chain Certificate program for the Center for Supply Chain Management Studies at Saint Louis University for twelve years, as well as teaching Project Management for the Center.
Ray earned an MBA from Washington University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. His certifications include Certified Public Accountant, and Certified Fellow in Production & Inventory Management, Certified Supply Chain Professional, and Certified in Integrated Resource Management from APICS.
