The board and senior staff had great respect for each other, yet had different tolerances for risk to embark on new ventures. The planning process surfaced real needs, key concerns, healthy growth targets, new resources and a shared vision to move forward. During our two, four and twelve month follow-up meetings, the agency was on track and made minor revisions along the way to their implementation plan. Three outreach satellites were being established with metrics for performance in out-state MO and IL. Over five years, five clinical care centers were up and running providing specialty care.
